2008 Boulder County Royalty

The Boulder County Fair and Rodeo Royalty has been an active element of the Fair since 1947, over 60 years.  The Rodeo Royalty is an essential part of not just the Boulder County Fair, but also of the community.  2008 Queen Elycia Eberlein and 2008 Lady-in- Waiting Meghan Rickel are exemplary citizens of the community, intelligent and driven, and excellent equestrians.  They were selected from the best of the best and have plans to bring back the grass roots of the program and the fair implementing our 2008 theme "Back to Our Roots."  As we embark on our 61st anniversary in this 2008 season, the Boulder County Fair and Rodeo will embark upon it's 139th anniversary, making it the longest running fair in all of Colorado.  The primary ingredient that sets Boulder County Fair and Rodeo royalty above all others is tradition.  With such an extensive history in serving Boulder County, one can only image the extensive amount of loyalty and pride invested by our 2008 Royalty.

Royalty Contest Info:  The Boulder County Fair Livestock Show and Rodeo Royalty Committee will select a Lady-in-Waiting to serve as the assistant for the 2009 Queen. Responsibilities will include representing and promoting the Boulder County Fair Livestock Show and Rodeo at local area fairs, rodeos, parades and other functions. After a training/probation period, the Lady-in-Waiting will reign as the year: 2010 Boulder County Fair & Rodeo Queen
